Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.
