It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a side that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Some will argue the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was much more difficult to anticipate.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in training, it's been a challenging time because it appeared I've had no rhythm whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive instincts take over and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from there the right-hander was in motion.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can achieve it."

Those words will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a sense they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.
