Passionate fans of the actress are calling for that a man who leaped a fence and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram feed features clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had congregated in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two very different witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and production design.
