President Trump Calls Relatives of Attacked National Guard Soldiers to the White House

Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the executive mansion.

He mentioned that he contacted her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Details on the Heartbreaking Event

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a attack on Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in grave state.

Memorials across West Virginia have taken place in their remembrance.

White House Call

The president stated he’s proposed a White House visit for the parents of both soldiers of the state National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump informed reporters. “And likewise with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Community Reaction

Mourners came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to honor Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to aid law enforcement in Washington DC.

Paying Tribute to Sarah Beckstrom

“Sarah was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” Hankins, the leader of her former high school, stated to the Associated Press. “She was sweet, considerate and always ready to support those in need.”

Service arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Judicial Steps and Government Changes

Authorities have indicted a 29-year-old suspect with one count of first-degree murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.

The event led the administration to halt asylum applications and cease issuing entry permits to possessors of travel documents.

Condition of the Airman

Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, according to the Associated Press.

He is still undergoing care and is “battling to survive”, the state’s leader the governor stated on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

The state’s top lawyer Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she planned to meet with the family.

Memory of Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from her high school in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a MP with honor, per the military.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had bravery,” the governor told the gathering at the vigil. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
