Previous British Broadcasting Corporation specialists testifying in front of Members of Parliament

We start with questions from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, that oversees the panel.

She opens by providing context to the unauthorized memorandum prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"I don't want the British Broadcasting Corporation tilting this way or that way, I just want it balanced, unbiased and fair," he declares.

When asked whether he believes the BBC is institutionally biased, the adviser responds: "Absolutely not. To be clear, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is exceptional - including informative and non-factual programming."

However, he continues: "There is substantial tasks that needs to be done at the BBC."

The second previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation adviser interviewed by the panel, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the BBC with great importance and that it operates a "ongoing system and active debate" on fluid and multifaceted issues.

"Did the BBC ready to engage in a genuine dialogue and debate and implement changes?" she questions. "From my perspective, affirmative, they were."
